Friends of Wooden Spoon is our way of saying thank you to the people who keep our freezers busy. Programme details are being updated, so the points below describe how it has run in the past.

How it has worked

• Customers were enrolled automatically through online orders, with no fees or sign-up forms.
• Spending milestones earned one-off discount codes for the online store, and bigger milestones earned extras such as a free pack.
• Codes were linked to the ordering email address, could not be combined with other discounts and were not redeemable for cash.
• At the trailer, regulars could ask for a frequent-scoop card.
