Creamy, egg-free and made without dairy, so everyone at the table gets a scoop.
Updated October 2026: Rewritten for our current oat milk range, with ingredients, allergen notes and FAQs, by the Wooden Spoon team.
We wanted a dairy-free ice cream that holds its own next to our regular range: smooth, rich and full of flavour, not icy or thin. Today's range is made with oat milk, which gives a creamy, neutral base that lets caramel, chocolate, fruit and spice do the talking. Every flavour below is vegan and made without eggs.
Allergens are shown in bold. Always check the label on your tub.

A little history: SUPERFOOD
Our first dairy-free range was called SUPERFOOD and was made with house-made cashew milk, with flavours like Fudgy Salty Caramel, Chocolate + Sea Salt and Strawberry. The current oat milk range carries on the same idea: dairy-free ice cream that tastes like a treat, not a substitute.
Allergy notes
Dairy-free does not mean allergen-free. Our kitchen handles dairy, gluten, peanuts, cashews and other allergens, and some dairy-free flavours contain peanuts, oats or soy. See the full ingredients and allergens table, and always check the label on your tub.
Frequently asked questions
Is your dairy-free ice cream suitable for vegans?
Yes. Our dairy-free range is made with oat milk and contains no milk, cream, butter or eggs. Some flavours include ingredients such as soy lecithin in the chocolate, peanuts or oats, so check the ingredients panel on each flavour if you avoid particular foods or have an allergy.
Is oat milk ice cream gluten free?
Our oat milk does not contain added gluten, but in Australia and New Zealand oats cannot be labelled gluten free, and oats are often grown and processed near wheat. If you have coeliac disease, talk to your doctor or dietitian about oats before choosing these flavours.
Did Wooden Spoon used to make cashew milk ice cream?
Yes. Our first dairy-free range, called SUPERFOOD, was made with house-made cashew milk. Today's dairy-free range is made with oat milk instead, so cashews are no longer part of the base recipe. Our kitchen still handles nuts, so traces may be present in any flavour.
Can people with lactose intolerance eat it?
Our dairy-free flavours contain no dairy ingredients, so there is no lactose in the recipe. That makes them a good option for many people who avoid lactose. If you also have a milk allergy, remember our kitchen handles dairy, so ask us about cross-contact.
